Production Sound Engineer
Playwright: Lynn Nottage
Director: Bill Caise
Sound Designer: Mark Jamerson
In this production of Sweat, I was the production sound engineer and led the load-in, calibration, level set, and strike process. Prior to the load-in, I wrote instructions explaining the correct load-in, calibration, and striking procedures for other team members. I also programmed the DM2000 (FOH mixer), DM1000 (BOH Mixer), Dante, and the Q-sys Core 510i DSP. The DM1000 backstage was used as a routing console to send the twelve wireless mics over Dante to the FOH console. Throughout the tech process, I trained the QLab operator, FOH mixer, and RF Tech on how to properly use the equipment and troubleshoot any problems that could emerge.
